Nangar Gypsy claims Christmas Stocking final glory over 600m
Nangar Gypsy showcased her dominance in the 2024 Christmas Stocking Final at Albion Park, taking out the 600m feature with an authoritative performance.
Starting from box four, the Dennis Barnes-trained fawn bitch wasted no time asserting her presence, leaping to an early lead and storming home in 34.81 seconds to win by seven lengths.
The decision to shift the Christmas Stocking Final from 520m to 600m proved beneficial for Nangar Gypsy, who utilised her stamina and early pace to establish control of the race at $8 odds with Neds.
Clocking a sharp first sectional of 9.76, she capitalised on a clean getaway to avoid the congestion that plagued some of her rivals, including race favourite Canya Joyous.
