This $100,000 triumph comes on the heels of Palawa King's success in the Origin Distance (710 m), ensuring that New South Wales would claim victory before the anticipated Origin Match Race, where Mackenna defeated Jay Is Jay in a close head-to-head race.
“To come out and win tonight for New South Wales, I think it just adds to the win there tonight, a bit of emotion in the whole night, so it is nice to get it done and be up 2-0” expressed Chappelow post-race.
Overflow Beau's exceptional performance highlighted both his form and his exceptional prowess after an unlucky loss to Uncle Tommy in the Flying Amy Classic at Albion Park last week.
