Prolific winner Packham Silk dominates Goulburn Fireball heats

has fastest for the 2023 final next week.

Packham Silk saluted in her heat of the Fireball at Goulburn on with the fastest time from the six qualifiers.

Despite being trained in Victoria, Packham Silk has now had four of her 15 starts at Goulburn, for three wins and a second.

The -trained greyhound started 350m heat as the heavily supported race favourite, paying -250 with online bookmakers.

Jumping from box four, she exploded to the lead soon after the box-rise and dictated terms at the front for the entire trip.

She beat Porch Pirate by 6.75 lengths in the time of 19.58, with Sassy Ms. Minx crossing in third.

The winning time improved on her previous best of 19.65, recorded on September 22 in a fifth-grade contest, with the bitch winning by 4.75 on that occasion.

The 350m at Goulburn is 19.33.

Packham Silk's first run at the 350m trip at Goulburn on September 5 resulted in a runner-up finish, 4.75 lengths behind Renegade Cochise.

She has since gone on to show her love of the track and trip, with three wins and one placing from four starts at the journey and will now head into next week's $25,000-to-the-winner final as the well-earned race favourite.
