Rocket Riot jets to the front for an all the way Young Star win
Rocket Riot had lift-off again as he took out the GRNSW Young Star final at Wentworth Park on Friday night with another blistering performance.
The Peter Lagogiane-trained chaser started in the 520m final, paying +290 on greyhound betting sites, against a firm race favourite in Fernando Quality, who was a firm +170 favourite for owner Brenton Avdulla, and trainer Michelle Sultana.
Out of box five, Rocket Riot jumped well to lead to the winning post the first time, while Fernando Quality was pushing up on the rail after getting away from the boxes only averagely.
At the post, Fernando Quality was jammed into the running rail and suffered a bad fall.
Rocket Riot made the most of the clear running, going on to win by 6.0 lengths in 29.64.
