Million Dollar Chase Maiden winner Zipping Megatron full of promise
Zipping Megatron served up a dominant all the way effort to take out the 2023 Million Dollar Chase Maiden final at Wentworth Park on Friday night.
The Jason Magri-trained greyhound started as the -142.86 race favourite in the 520m contest for the stars of tomorrow.
Jumping from box one, he got out well to strike the lead as the field turned the first corner, with Zipping Bentley, who was an +750 chance on greyhound betting apps, doing all the chasing.
Zipping Megatron only got faster in the run to the line, beating Zipping Bentley by 4.75 lengths in 29.42 to claim the $15,000 first prize.

The Superior Panama x Zipping Mitzy dog qualified for the feature after finishing second in his heat on October 4 behind Tootsie Tears.
Trainer Jason Magri was effusive after the impressive win, saying, “This bloke is as good of a dog as I've ever trained”.
“He's right up there with the best of them.
“He is an exciting prospect and now I will take him through his grades at Wenty and hopefully have him ready for the National Derby in January,” said Magri.
It was a Marty Hallinan bred and owned quinella with Zipping Bentley (Superior Panama x Zipping Bailey) finishing in second for trainer Michael Hardman.
