Showtime Prissy wins Townsville Maiden 1000 final
Showtime Prissy lined up in the Townsville Maiden 1000 Final on Tuesday night as one of five chances for her Brad Belford-trained kennel.
The chaser lined up in the 380m maiden final as a +400 hope with
Kennelmate Federal Remark was the heavily supported -250 race favourite.
Jumping from box three, Showtime Prissy got out to lead soon after box rise, with kennelmates Federal Mercedes and Federal Duke in second and third.
Heading into the home straight, Showtime Prissy kicked away to beat home Federal Duke by 1.25 lengths in 21.91, and deliver Belford the winning quinella.
Spin Baron ($26) finished in third place.

The winning time in the $7,700 final improved on her previous best of 22.18, clocked in her debut last week in a heat of the Townsville Maiden 1000..
The winning time also went a fraction within topping the 21.90 of her kennelmate Federal Remark's best time, set in his heat win last week.
Trainer Belford was happy with the performance from the Fernando Bale x Flash Magic bitch.
“She went good mate.
“Boxes win races.
“She just found the front, and the other dog (Federal Remark) never got over.
“She pulled have pretty good.
“When they are young there is not much that fazes them.
“This morning she is jumping around like a lunatic.
“She should win a few with her early speed,” Belford stated.
