Littermates Trooper Tears and Trapper Tears will headline the two heats of the 2023 Million Dollar Chase (MDC) at Broken Hill on Saturday.

With the Broken Hill leg of the 2023 Million Dollar Chase race series schedule drawing just two heats and with just seven runners in each heat, both greyhounds look morals to make the regional qualifying final to be run on Sunday, September 10.

Trooper Tears, the 2023 3 Pad winner, will be racing at Broken Hill first up for almost three months after suffering an injury in a prelude to the in June.

Group 1 finalist Trapper Tears hasn't greeted the judge first home since winning a heat of the Group 1 back in June.
But both greyhounds look extremely well placed to reassert their winning ways on Saturday at the ‘Silver City” greyhound track.

Leading Victorian greyhound trainer has delivered a warning to punters, saying that “We're winging it a bit”, with neither greyhound having seen the track before.

Britton is relying on their class to get them among the first four home in each heat to qualify for the following regional final.

The two Victorian-trained littermates are not the only ones attempting to snare a chance at the $1 Million to-the-winner New South Wales (NSW) final, with several other Victorian and South Australian greyhounds also engaged in the two heats.

Among the dangers to the Tears' brothers Broken Hill MDC chances are the -trained and 2022 Group 1 placed Landyn Bale, Group 3 placed Zipping Elkie, 2022 Group 1 Vic Peters placegetter , and McKenna Memoral placed Ailee Bale.

The first three greyhounds home in the Broken Hill Million Dollar Chase regional final will qualify directly through to the MDC semi finals at on October 6, 2023.
