Suffragette powers away to win Group 2 Launching Pad

Victorian greyhounds

scored the biggest victory of her short career when saluting in Thursday night's 2 Pad (515m) at Park.

Sent to the boxes as the $3.60 favourite, Suffragette was fairly away from box six but was able to muster pace into the run to the line on the first occasion, taking the lead in the run around the first turn.

Meanwhile, second favourite Zippy Daph (box two) veered off around the turn, taking out (box five) and (box three) which both fell as a result.

The trouble left Suffragette as the clear leader out in front, with the Kerrie White-trained bitch never looking in danger from that point onwards.

In the run to the line the daughter of and Ebby Miss stretched out to score by 10 lengths in a fast 29.43.

(box eight) ran on well to finish second, with He's Loaded (box one) filling the trifecta back in third.

Suffragette has now won eight of her 17 starts with an additional seven minor placings, whilst her career earnings are now in excess of $170,000.

Princess Pout and Oronsay were both found to have minor injuries after the event and were given seven day stand down periods.
