Winning Litter Double For Wilkinsons At Casino Greyhounds

Litter brothers Kenstrelle and Hayden's Run gave Barry and Mavis Wilkinson a winning training double at last .

Both have been in good form, and it was no shock to see them win. Kennstrelle, who has a very good record from outside boxes, scooted across from box eight to lead at the first turn and a winning break.

Although runner up Bouncy tried hard, he was no match for the winner who won by 2 1/4 lengths in 27.62.

Hayden's Run was also fast out of the traps, and he took the lead as they went into the back. did his best to catch himnear home, but failed by a neck with the time of 27.52 being recorded. To top off the day for Barry and Mavis, , a dog that they own, got home by a neck in the Madsen's Meats 5th grade. She defied all opposition to salute in 23.47. Glen Northfield trains her.

Another set of brothers fought out the final with Brayln Alvin beating Bralyn Miami. Whilst Miami was well back early, Alvin showed good pace to go with the early leader Just the Ripper, before taking over in the back section. Miami came from the tail with a strong rails run, but try as he may, he missed by a half length in 28.09. Brad and Lynne Northfield train the pair who are brothers to the unbeaten Bralyn County, who took his record to eight wins from eight starts at Wenty on Friday night.

The best graded dog all day looked to be Genista Jess in the Novice distance race. A last start winner at Lismore, she was “thrown in”, and it was only the longer journey that might be the worry. No worries for punters though, as she handled the extra distance with great aplomb, winning by 1 3/4 lengths in a good 35.87. Trainer Neil Falls has placed her well.

Sprint track record Surin Sal returned to her best to win the Casino RSM Club Free For All. The trained sprinter went straight to the front from box three and led them a merry dance scoring by 2 /12 length in 22.89, the best time of the day.

He's Excitable got trainer Alf Love more than excitable when he led throughout in the opening race clocking 23.50 at juicy odds, whilst Peg Rose Hi railed well all of the way to take out the Richmond Valley Pet Supplies stake in 27.84 for and .

In the remaining events, Barrel's Boy never left the fence in winning by five lengths in 23.47 for ; Air Force Fred “flew” home for Steve Sherwell in 23.79, and Suzie Be Good made it two in a row for Joanne Price clocking 23.11. She was also the jackpot dog, so the trip home would have been more enjoyable.

Casino will stage another 12 race card this Friday.
