Tonight’s upcoming greyhound racing meeting at Albion Park in Queensland, Australia, is gearing up to deliver an electric evening of greyhound racing with twelve races lined up on Day 6 of the 2024 Queensland Winter Carnival.
The action kicks off at 6:30 PM AEST, and the last race is expected to wrap up around 10:30 PM AEST.
The main highlights of the evening are the six heats of the 2024 Group 1 Flying Amy Classic over 520-metres. These heats boast a prize pool of $12,300, and the winner of each heat stands to claim a first-place prize of $7,995. With some of the best greyhounds in the country engaged in the heats, the winner of each heat and the two fastest seconds will qualify for next week’s $150,000 to-the-winner Group 1 final.
Alongside the Flying Amy Classic Heats, there are five heats of the 2024 Group 2 Cyndies Magic feature race series over 600-metres. Each heat offers a prize pool of $13,600 and a winner’s purse of $8,840. The five winners and three fastest second-placed greyhounds will progress to next week’s $75,000 to-the-winner Group 2 final.
