Wentworth Park Thursday preview & betting tips | July 25, 2024
The greyhounds are on again at Wentworth Park this Thursday night, and there are 11 races set down for decision. It’s great to see the maidens and masters getting a run, but the highlight will be the heats of the 1-4 wins restricted series. Australian Racing Greyhound will be trackside and can hopefully steer you towards a winner or two.
Race 3: Zipping Kerr (2)
Zipping Kerr announced herself with a scorching 29.43 best-of-night win here last week. That made it three wins out of her last four, and while she can be tardy at box rise and needs a touch of luck, she draws well nearer the fence again here. She has one of the best closing sections at Wentworth Park, and if she doesn’t find trouble early, Zipping Kerr will storm past this field down the back straight.

Race 5: Chuck Keeping (2)
Chuck Keeping showed just how good he could be when winning here two weeks ago in 29.84 seconds. He then franked that form with a flying 29.59 win at his home track of Dubbo last week. He has great early pace if given a touch of room early, and he should get that with a slow beginner drawn outside him.

Race 1: Meniketti (8)
While Meniketti is an unraced maiden, he is supremely bred and is trained by master mentor Peter Sims. He broke the 30-second mark in a recent trial here and looks set to begin his career with a big win, provided he can get across from the awkward draw. This boy is well worth following as he heads towards a possible Million Dollar Chase tilt later this year.
