Wentworth Park tips & best bets for Saturday, October 4, 2025
This Saturday night at Wentworth Park eight city qualifiers of the Million Dollar Chase will be held on a massive twelve-race program. It is the last opportunity for the interstate superstars, and for the locals, who missed out on regional qualification, to get through to next week’s semi-finals and will bring together the crème-de-le-crème of greyhounds in this country. Australian Racing Greyhound will be trackside and has studied the form at length and has come up with the three best bets on the program.
Best Bet: Race 2: Paw Oswald (1)
The current Group 1 National Derby champion Paw Oswald comes to Sydney to have one last hit-out at Wenty Park before next week’s Semi Finals. He qualified through the Broken Hill series and had been in superb form up until that final. His last two starts have been disappointing off difficult draws, however a trip to Sydney and a return to his favourite box one should see the National Derby champion bouncing back to his best form and running a fast time to boot.

Zipping Xaden was heavily backed when chasing his sixth win in a row here last week. Being a slow starter and super strong is not always a winning recipe here at Wentworth Park. However having said that he does have extraordinary talent and will need just a touch of luck. Unleash Beetson may just provide that luck for him as he is extremely fast early but will only go for about 400m before tiring, which will give Zipping Xaden every chance to power home over the bunching leaders down the back straight if he stays out of trouble.

Best Value Bet Race 8: Tribeca (6)
In what has been dubbed the interstaters heat, Tribeca looks to be well over the odds in the early markets with the online bookmakers. In a race that doesn’t have the amount of early pace as some of the other heats, Tribeca could easily offset the horrible draw, with the abundance of early pace she possesses, and could easily lead all of the way and force her way into the semi-finals next week.
