Tiempo Dinero triumphs in Summer Puppy Classic final
TIEMPO Dinero has produced a powerful run to triumph in the Group 3 Summer Puppy Classic (520m) at Nowra on Monday night.
Trained by Donna Campbell, Tiempo Dinero was fairly away from box three, slotting in behind Tiny Terror (box one) in the charge around the first turn.
Down the back, Tiny Terror was still going along nicely out in front, but the 39.5-kilogram Tiempo Dinero quickly got balanced up and set off in pursuit of the tearaway leader.
Swinging for home it was a race in two, with Tiempo Dinero storming down the centre of the track to score by a widening three lengths in a tidy 30.05.
Tiny Terror stuck on for second, whilst Panel Beater (box seven) – who is out of NSW greyhound of the year Double Twist – filled the trifecta back in third.
A son of El Grand Senor and Time And Money, Tiempo Dinero has now won six of his 10 starts with an additional three minor placings, with his prize money earnings now in excess of $30,000.
