2023 Dream Chaser Festival launched in Victoria

The 2023 Dream Chasers Festival of greyhound racing has been launched in Victoria.

The anticipated return of the Victorian Dream Chasers Festival, a greyhound racing series that first premiered in 2022, is just around the corner.

Billed as “five thrilling nights filled with exceptional hospitality and top-tier entertainment”, the Dream Chasers Festival runs from November 11, 2023, right through to December 16.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 11th as the festival kicks off with the 2023 Group 1 Topgun at The Meadows.

This exciting event will be followed by four races, including the prestigious $1 million 2023 Group 1 Melbourne Cup at Sandown, and right through until the adrenaline fuelled known as The Phoenix race at on December 16.

With over $4.1 million in prize money up for grabs throughout this series, it is anticipated that the series will attract some of the best greyhounds and trainers from across the nation.

2023 Dream Chasers Festival Schedule

  • Saturday, November 11: The 1 (525m), (730m), Group 1 (600m) at The Meadows
  • November 18: 2023 (515m), 2023 Preludes (515m) at Sandown
  • November 25: 2023 Group 1 Melbourne Cup Heats (515m), 2023 Group 1 Bold Trease Heats (715m) at Sandown.
  • December 2: 2023 Group 1 Melbourne Cup (515m), 2023 Group 1 Bold Trease (715m) at Sandown
  • December 16: 2023 The Phoenix (525m) at The Meadows

  • According to Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV), “apart from the thrilling races attendees can also enjoy music, entertainment, vibrant colours and exciting surprises throughout the festival”.

    Each night attendees at the track during the festival have a chance to win prizes such as a brand Mitsubishi Outlander, a dream sporting holiday to Los Angeles $10,000 cash and more.

    Live greyhound racing action from the five feature race nights will be broadcast live on Racing.com and Foxtel's channel 529.
