Bag The Cash makes it six in a row with Townsville win

Bag The Cash served up a huge performance to take the victory in Townsville on Tuesday, notching up his sixth-straight win.

The -trained dog was the race favourite, paying $2 with online greyhound bookmakers.

Out of box five, he jumped well and was joined by the -trained Lady Steps ($6.50) for most of the trip.

In the straight, Bag The Cash looked to be running short of puff with Lady Steps taking a slight lead.

But Bag The Cash took back the lead in the shadows of the post, running on to win by 0.75 lengths in a time of 22.09.

Bag The Cash relishes the middle alley and now has two wins and a second-placing from three starts out of the yellow box.

The former South Australian racer joined the Partland kennel from trainer Tony Hinrichsen in January.

He has missed the placings only once since the move, running fifth on his Queensland debut in May when resuming from a four-month spell.

Trainer Partland now has 34 winners from 184 starts, with this year being the most successful of his career to date.

The x chaser seven wins and six placings from 19 starts and has banked $11,925 in prize money.
