Cosmic Shower is armed with slick early speed and although beaten in his heat he was far from disgraced. He had only turned in steady trials before his debut, but he settled behind the promising Black Bear Lee last week and he went down by less than four lengths. He should be able to roll to the early lead tonight and he will give a nice sight at odds so looks a great value bet with William Hill.
Kihael Kaluna recorded a devastating 29.69 heat win last week and he was the fastest qualifier. He is obviously a great chance again but I am a little concerned about the box draw, he exited the red last week and from the middle tonight he will need a few things to go his way.
Aqua Phoenix must be respected, she trialled here recently in 30.11 and she appears to have good early speed, if they shuffle up underneath she may be able to get the fly mid race.
Good Odds Rick rounds out the chances, he finally broke through here last week in a handy 30.08 and if he gets across early he should be right in the mix.
Top Four: 4 – 5 – 8 – 7
1st: $4,500 2nd: $1,000 3rd: $500.

Black Bear Lee is a serious chaser and he reeled off impressive sectionals when scoring here last week in 29.81. There isn’t much speed underneath him tonight so he should be able to blaze across and assume control and if he does lead he will be running some serious time on the lure.
Nit Noi hit the line solidly when placed in her heat and she should be able to run home into the placings again. She has finished in the first three in all six runs to date, but her racing pattern will make it hard for her to score. However, there is no doubting that she has talent.
Remember Irene should settle on the speed and she will give a great sight, she appeared to hit a wall in the home straight last week and she should be a lot better for that run.
Princess Sophia caught the eye with a slick 30.07 win last week and she is obviously a chance, my only concern with her is that there is a bit of speed on her outside and she may get shuffled back early.
Top Four: 8 – 7 – 2 – 1

Privacy appears well placed in the pink and he should get a fairly clear passage in the run to the first turn. Last week he stepped well and never looked back when posting an impressive 30.05 heat win and I think if he leads again he should be able to go even quicker.
Down Every Road is a serious talent and if I was certain he would get a clear run he would be my top pick, however from the awkward draw he is going to need a few things to go right in the early stages and I dont think he can give the pink a head start.
Fraudulent is drawn to settle in the top two early and he should give a nice sight at each way odds, he appears to struggle to run the trip, however he does have high speed and if there is trouble out wide he may get away mid-race.
Shady Ace is probably the most talented chaser in the event but she does a lot of things wrong, with a clear run she can win but its best to just include her in your exotic bets.
Top Four: 8 – 1 – 4 – 6
1st: $4,500 2nd: $1,000 3rd: $500.

This appears to be a highly competitive heat and there are numerous chances, last week Paua Shot turned in a great performance when placed in his heat and I think he can go one better tonight. The four will move left at box rise and that should allow him to drive across and assume control early and he is capable of going sub 30 seconds on the lure.
Zipping Meg has the good draw and she scored a powerful 30.03 heat win last week, she can be a little risky at box rise but if she happens to step well and settle in the top three she should be right in the mix.
Prince Omar recorded a sizzling 29.86 in a trial here a couple of weeks back and he appears to have high speed, if he happens to get across and find the rail without trouble he may be able to lead throughout.
Milldean Focus will be the big improver from last week’s heats, he appeared to get lost through the bends and I’m expecting a better performance tonight.
Top Four: 5 – 1 – 4 – 7

No Donuts is the real deal and with an ounce of luck he should be scoring easily- making his quote of $2.60 with William Hill juicy odds. Last week he was lucky to stay on his feet but he still managed to pick himself up and score in 30.33. The time wasn’t flashy but I think he can find the early lead tonight and if he does find the lure he will be running around the 29.60 mark.
Lord Gee should follow No Donuts across early and he should fill the quinella spot, prior to last week he had scored two solid wins here but last week he finally put the time on the board with a slick 29.88 win. He has the speed to match No Donuts early but I think he may just struggle in the final 30-metres.
Fantastic Sid is an enormous talent but he can make a lot of mistakes in his races, if he gets away he can easily win this but from the middle pin he will need to do everything right.
Country Fox rounds out the chances, he has enough speed to be a factor early and he has raced well here in the past.
Top Four: 6 – 7 – 2 – 4
1st: $4,500 2nd: $1,000 3rd: $500.

Topper Road has been a little disappointing in recent weeks but from the red draw he should be afforded all the breaks early and when he can lead he is a different chaser. Five starts ago he posted a slick all the way win here in 29.80 and if he reproduces that effort he should get the cash.
Outlaw Jack caught my eye last week when he charged home and finished just outside the placings, he should be able to drop onto the rail soon after the start tonight and if the gaps open mid race he could salute the nice odds of $23.
Sweet Release was probably the most impressive heat winner last week and if she comes out running again she will prove hard to hold out, I’m just a little concerned that last week’s brilliant beginning may be a one off.
Aphorism continues to improve and with some luck early he should make an impact, he had his first look at the track last week so he should be better for that run.
Top Four: 1 – 5 – 6 – 4
1st: $4,500 2nd: $1,000 3rd: $500.

Little High is much better than his recent form reads and he could be great value in this event at $13 with William Hill. He has been placed in two of five runs here and both of those placings where in very fast times, I’m expecting the middle division to shuffle up early and that might allow him to zip away mid-race. He is capable of going around 29.80 and that would be good enough to win this.
Goldengrove Lad is a lid pinger and he has won three of his past four in explosive fashion, if he can ping away again he should almost be able to assume control early and he is a hard chaser to get past when on the lure.
Winsome Jacko at $9.00 is much better than his form reads and he was a tad unlucky in his heat, if he can settle just behind the speed he might prove too strong in the run home.
Zipping Sonny is a must for your exotics, he is likely to get too far back to win but he is very strong and he could run home into some minor money.
Top Four: 8 – 4 – 3 – 6
