Bundaberg greyhound preview & best bets | Monday, 3/7/23

is set to host 10 races on Monday from 11:47M local time. The meeting contains a plethora of graded races over all distances. There's a fifth-grade 531m race, fourth/fifth-grade 460m race as well as a fourth/fifth-grade 315m race which portrays the meeting's versatility.

BEST BET: Jack's Arrow (Race 4)

Jack's Arrow has taken well to racing on the grass at Bundaberg and will be looking for his third career win. The two-year-old Kerry Perrett trained runner is a veteran of six starts where he has developed an odd statistic. Three of those six starts have been on loam at where he hasn't won or placed while his other three starts have been on grass for two wins and an unlucky second. This unlucky run came last week over course and trip (Bundaberg 460m). Jumping fairly from box three, the son of veered off on the first corner and found trouble. Despite this, he picked himself up, ran around rivals and flashed home for second in a solid time of 26.43. This fifth-grade contest doesn't have any depth with all his rivals being older and being more exposed. He is still lightly raced and one would argue, his best is still to come. He will appreciate box six as well as two slow starters drawn outside him. Given he can get through the sticky first turn cleanly, he will prove hard to hold out.

NEXT BEST: Sisu (Race 6)

will be looking to build off an ultra-impressive win last start. The daughter of Konomi flew the lids over course and trip (Bundaberg 460m) last week from box six and recorded a lightning first split of 13.19. She tired late; however, held on to win in 26.24 which was just three lengths off the best of the day which was run by the top grade. When she gets the start right she is as quick early as any bitch in country Queensland. She stumbles upon a race that is devoid of speed with the only danger of kicking up and holding her out being the Bill Wormer trained Conair. She has a brilliant winning record scoring in seven of her 17 appearances. Sisu has always raced well from wide boxes having won two of her three from box eight and one from two from box six. A repeat of her performance last week has her very hard to beat in this event.

BEST VALUE: Bob's Diva (Race 1)

The first race on the program appears to be an open maiden with plenty of value on offer, none more so than Bob's Diva. The two-year-old made her debut just five days ago over the 288m at Ipswich when running third in 18.07. Jumping well from box one, the daughter of Big Bad Bob quickly demonstrated that she will be one that has a hunger for wide draws as she veered off the track causing plenty of interference for herself and others. Her erratic racing behaviour certainly played into how far she was beaten and this could lead to her being forgotten in betting. This maiden is up for grabs with Ghost Prince being an eleven start maiden, Moonlit Lake on debut and She's Devine bringing steady New South Wales form for her first crack at Bundaberg with new trainer Brian Terry. Bob's Diva trainer, George Clegg has his kennel in fine form having won three of his last seven races. Expect Bob's Diva to mind her own business out wide and fight out the finish.
