Rockhampton greyhound tips

is set to host a 12 race program on Tuesday night from 6:54PM local time. The meeting is headlined by a cracking “Dinky Di Web Design 5th Grade Final ” where Miss Zoom Zoom, Protagonist and Bank Heist will go to battle. To round the program out there are three heats of a one to three win series.

BEST BET: Miss Zoom Zoom (Race 8)

Last week's fifth-grade heats have delivered a cracking final with the likes of Miss Zoom Zoom, Protagonist and Bank Heist set to face off. The runner that appears extremely hard to beat is Miss Zoom Zoom. Since arriving at Rockhampton under the care of leading trainer, the two-year-old has gone to another level winning both her starts impressively. On debut at the track and extended trip (510m) she was simply breathtaking, leading all of the way to score in a slick 29.77. This time stacked up well on the night with , a winner of 22 races running 29.93 unimpeded. Despite last week's heat win not producing the brilliance on the overall time, she was even better. She only stepped fairly from box eight, copped a bump and was able to pick herself up, find a stalking position and zoom past rivals running home one-and-a-half lengths quicker than the week prior. She's boxed perfectly off the red in this final to hold the rails, lead and prove hard to run down. With her improved run home last week and being the lightly raced dog on the up, it's not out of the box to think she can run a time in the 29.50-60s range which will have her winning this race easily.

NEXT BEST: Yore Chevy (Race 9)

Newcomer to the kennels, Yore Chevy will be hard to beat on Rockhampton debut given he brings up his best New South Wales form. The son of boasts a poor record on paper of 42: 4-9-4; however, he is now in a different region in new hands so it's only fair to give him a fresh start. Upon going through the two-year-old's form, he has recorded some more than handy times at having a personal best of 22.73 over the 400m. In the race prior, Miss Zoom Zoom who could well and truly be the fastest 510m dog in Rockhampton had recorded a personal best of 22.72 over the same track and trip. It's not as ; however, he has box one in a moderate race and there's significant market support to suggest he has trialled up well. This race appears one that could be won in 24.20 which is well within his wheelhouse.

BEST VALUE: Sir Banjo (Race 7)

Local leading trainer Ken Boody has half the field engaged in the seventh with appearing the forgotten runner in betting. The son of is a multiple winner over the 520m and has called Rockhampton home for the past three months. He hasn't had his fair share of box draws in this time which has resulted in a plethora of unlucky placings; however, he finally got his just desserts last week when being an all the way winner over the 407m in 23.55. Jumping fairly from box six, he was able to find the rails and he was never getting beat from in-front roaring away to score by five lengths. He steps back up to his pep trip tonight and finds a race where his main rivals need to lead to win. Velocity Tamika has shown good box speed recently and can certainly pressure Ring Me in the early stages of this race. Given Sir Banjo can find a trailing spot in third, he will be finishing best late in the piece.
