Rockhampton is set to host a 12-race program on Wednesday night from 6:52PM local time. The meeting is headlined by two fifth-grade heats over the 510m which will feature the likes of Guru Bart, Allegation, and Lucky Garcia. The best eight 407m dash has assembled another ripping line-up where Chips In will be looking to make it four on the bounce.
Best Bet: Velocity Nora (Race 9)
First of two master events on the night and Velocity Nora will be looking to make a winning debut in this company. The daughter of Keybow has only just surpassed 42 months of age and is now eligible to race in masters company. This will come as a great relief for the trainer, her connections, and Nora herself, as she has been battling out deep third, fourth, and fifth grade races. Over the past three months, she has faced the likes of More Peaches, Mr. OSullivan, and Sir Banjo, who are some of the quicker dogs in Rockhampton. She is drawn perfectly in box two, with Shakey Country outside her, who uses the track, and Another Day inside, who is first up since 2022. Expect Nora to lead and take some beating.

Early Arrival will be aiming to make amends after a luckless debut effort. The son of Aussie Infrared lined up for his first start at the young age of 18 months last fortnight, where he finished fourth, beaten nine lengths by Moonlit Dior. At lid rise, Early Arrival darted towards the rails, which caused him some bother and ultimately led to a chequered path throughout. Wednesday's map box draw and map are more to his liking, as he is expected to enjoy the inside alley. This race doesn't appear to be a strong race on paper, and the current favourite, Sidra Holland, may be talented; however, she has her first crack over the 510m and has to deal with crossing Kajal Rani in the early stages.

Yuri Magic will be looking to finish the night with a bang as he returns from a three week hiatus. The son of Surf Lorian finished sixth over the 460 meters at Bundaberg, losing by upwards of eight lengths. Prior to this, he had raced with little luck over the course and trip that he faces this Wednesday. His personal best of 23.70 appeals heavily in this type of contest, and he appears well drawn in box eight, with Flying Caliente drawn in box seven. Expect the Christian Pollard-trained runner to provide the perfect cart across, and if Yuri Magic can step a touch better fresh, he will land in the perfect striking position. Current favourite Shanti has opened under the odds considering her poor record over course and trip.
