Wentworth Park betting tips

Another wonderful Wednesday night of greyhound racing action at rolls around with 11 races to be decided. There are maidens, stayers, battlers, sprinters races, along with a tremendous to Wenty final – and those are just a few of the highlights you can look forward to. As always, we will try to find you a winner or two.

Best Bet: Luai Banner (Race 5)

This boy is five from five and saluted here in 30.04 two starts ago, so expect some improvement on that. He was not the fastest of the heat winners – that was , the main danger – but is the best drawn. He has had the inside box twice for two wins but has never had the two box. He normally runs a good first section, and that can often be the difference between winning and not winning at this track. If he just gets a little bit of room in the run to the first turn, he will lead this field and be very hard to beat.

Next Best Bet: Rockstar Thelma (Race 6)

This girl has been improving tremendously of late. We tipped her first-up here back in May when she was just run down by Jett Khan. She is not the strongest 500m dog in the kennels, but after two best-of-night performances at in the last two weeks over 520m, she deserves another shot at Wenty. This is a tough fifth-grade race, however, and has a strong hand, so getting across the red early will be crucial. If Thelma can , she can certainly match motors with the Lord brigade. She has finished in the quinella at six of her seven career starts and can do that again in this race.

Next Best

Race 6 – Silk (2)

Best Value Bet: Despicable Jason (Race 10)

The Despicable dogs trained by Sarah Easey and Mitchell Pryce usually love an inside box and begin well. If Jason can get out of the boxes in this battlers race, he will get some cover from the two dog – who tracks wide, and that might just give him the chance to hold the fence and challenge the top hopes. Miss Zig Zag will probably start favourite, and watch out for 's kennelmate Despicable Easy, the first reserve, if she gets a start from an outside box.
