The world-famous dogs will be hosting 12 star-studded races this Thursday night, with the first set to begin at 6:52pm local time. There is a great mix of 297m sprints, 520m races, and some very interesting middle-distance races. As always, Australian Racing Greyhound will try to find you a winner or two.

Race 6: Overflow Jill (6)

This girl cannot draw a box but has a bright future, she ran the best time of the night here last week, winning her maiden. She is one of only three in the race to have won on the track and clearly has the best personal best time. She has only had three career starts, and they have been from boxes five twice and box seven, so she should be used to these middle draws. There is no real pace in the race, and she just maps to lead and win this restricted class race.

Race 5: Leg Speed (8)

He was beaten three lengths by last week when Rampani zipped away in the lead by 10 lengths, and this boy had all sorts of trouble finally getting clear. He finished the race off stoutly and cut the margin down significantly, and if he can just miss the trouble early, which is a big IF, then he can certainly turn the tables on the red in this race. He has two goes here at the 600m for a win and a second, and this distance is tailor-made for him. He is one win and two placings from the pink and is drawn to get a beautiful trail into this race from the seven.

Race 11: Browse Them One (1)

This boy is having only his second start in NSW after a two-month break from racing in WA. He was fourth at his local debut and used the rails well early before getting a little lost at the home turn. His time was still good enough to suggest, with some natural fitness and track improvement, that he might be able to get close to, if not break, the 17-second mark, and that would win this. He has had box one only three times for a win and placing, and he represents good value in an open race.
