It's time, with 10 heats of the greatest greyhound race in NSW on the cards at Wentworth Park this Saturday night. Plenty of visitors from all over the country are looking to etch their names alongside some of the immortals of this industry. We wish all connections and greyhounds the best of luck and safe passage. Good luck with your investments on this stacked programme.

Race 2: Golden Easter Egg Heat 1 (520m)

Although eligible for masters' races, Connections has been scorching the sand here at headquarters recently. Panama Pepper is the interesting runner, transferring into the elite Lord kennel after a Group 2 placing at Mandurah for Steve Withers. Street Of Dreams has been superb for young Jai Opetaia, but this is a step up. Hello Mike is an Albion Park winner, beating Jay Is Jay, while Wyndra All Class and Lady Devine are as honest as they come but will need luck.

Race 3: Golden Easter Egg Heat 2 (520m)

This looks like a race in two between talented visitors Victa Damian (SA), who won the Group 1 National Derby here in January, and Kelsey Bale (VIC), who seems to always be the bridesmaid and never the bride. Winlock Piper and the evergreen Ritza Donna are rough hopes.

Best Bet Of The Night

Race 3 – SilkVicta Damian (8)

Form: 111113 | Career: 13: 9-0-2 | Trainer: Lisa Rasmussen

Race 4: Golden Easter Egg Heat 3 (520m)

This race matches the super strong , who has been off chasing middle-distance glory in the Country Classic series; the ever-reliable Group 2 Richmond Oaks winner Yuko Girl; and Kaheem Bale, who is a genuinely smart Victorian. Spring Patriot will appreciate the inside draw. However, it may well be the early pace of Yuko Girl that decides this one.

Race 5: Golden Easter Egg Heat 4 (520m)

The champion returns to defend her title. No greyhound has ever gone back-to-back in this race – so can She's A Pearl do it and become legendary? There is no question she is not the same scintillating greyhound she was 12 months ago, but she is finding form again at the right time. She won't get it all her own way with two Australian Cup finalists in her heat. Baby Jaycee was very impressive in that series and maybe the box draw was all that beat her in the final. never got a chance in the final but is a Group 1 greyhound all night long. It will be an intriguing battle, and one that will have what should be a large crowd revved up. Mayfair Reign and are not without a hope of progressing.

Race 6: Golden Easter Egg Heat 5 (520m)

Heat five is probably the most intriguing of the lot. French Martini has not been seen since contesting the Group 1 Rookie Rebel over 600m in Victoria. Elite Alex has been flying at Sandown recently. Zipping Maserati hasn't raced since the Group 1 Paws Of Thunder final back in January. Len Me Dad who was the recent Maitland Gold Cup winner. Also, Came And Went has run 29.55 here, and that time would be extremely hard to beat. Good luck picking the winner of this.

Race 7: Golden Easter Egg Heat 6 (520m)

This is another cracking race. Coco Model has the pace to lead and prove bothersome. The great Zipping Kyrgios lines up in what may be his feature-race swansong. is fresh off the $125k Country Classic middle-distance win. Where's Bonbon went into a Temora Cup against She's A Pearl after only six career starts. Yachi Bale loves a middle draw and has been racing the best of the best in Melbourne, has been killing fifth-grade races but this is a step up, and Simply Limelight is so talented but often so luckless and drawn upside down in this race.

Best Value

Race 7 – SilkCoco Model (1)

Form: 163442 | Career: 63: 18-10-14 | Trainer: Tayt Corless

$15 with Ladbrokes

Race 8: Golden Easter Egg Heat 7 (520m)

Jay Is Jay broke the Albion Park track record in his last start, and that was after getting narrowly beaten in a Group 1 race the week before. Hold Me Up won a in December and has been kept fresh since falling here in February. Embrace is a Peter Mosman winner and Paws Of Thunder finalist who is just not capturing his best right now. Canya Smoke Them can run time when he nails the start and is strong, but this is a step up in class. The rest have good pace and could cause problems if they nail the start, but but they are rising significantly in class.

Next Best

Race 8 – SilkJay Is Jay (3)

Form: 211121 | Career: 17: 8-4-3 | Trainer: Selena Zammit

Race 9: Golden Easter Egg Heat 8 (520m)

There are plenty of visitors lining up in this heat. Peacock has run some nice races at The Meadows since his Australian Cup campaign. Queen Of Scotch, from the Rasmussen kennel in SA, needs to step up. Custard Monelli, all the way from WA, has been placed in a couple of races already, and Cash Master from up north has a Listed race win. Chasing Fernando is the best of the locals but would need a career best here, while Road Spike could give a sight at big odds.

Race 10: Golden Easter Egg Heat 9 (520m)

Victa Marli will go mighty quick early, but the 520m might test her. Scramjet, fresh off a Damsels Dash win at Maitland, is in career-best form. Wiradjuri Jack is an up-and-comer with untold ability but needs luck in his races. Agland Luai can do anything on his night, while Zipping Alabama has a mind-blowing 29.36 personal best and will be unbeatable if she finds that form.

Race 11: Golden Easter Egg Heat 10 (520m)

Fascinate Mel just keeps popping up in these sorts of races and loves an inside draw. The Rockstar dogs are going superb for Shaun Evans, and Rockstar Apollo is one of the best of them, winning a Derby heat here in 29.59. is another Australian Cup finalist who can go super quick early. Rapid Ripple has talent and is winning well in lesser grade up north, and the rest would need career-best runs to progress.
