Mixed results again yesterday with our roughie Eumerella Whirl dead heating for first. So the win dividend had to half from $10.00 to $5.00.
Tonight looks another tough one with very open races all around the country.
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 3 Box 6 Captain Clarrie, 7.26 pm QLD time
The unfashionable bred son of Elite And Classy by Where Are You looks a great bet in this. He’s been tripping around the country a little bit of late, but is relishing racing back at home. He meets a ordinary field here and only needs a clear passage from the tough box to win. Nitro Blonde from the John Pay kennel looks set to also run a big race after her flying 30.46 win a Ipswich recently.
Angle Park Greyhounds Race 10 Box 1 Cawbourne Flute 10.25pm Vic time
This fellow has drawn perfectly tonight to get back into winning form. Bad boxes and slow beginnings have cost him dearly of late, but from the rails he should get a great sit in behind the early leaders. He has a PB of 30.12 and with clear running, and a good jump, there’s no reason why he can’t repeat that run and win here. Each way.
Dapto Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 1 Pablo Cruz, 8.55pm Nsw time
This fellow went quite well here last week when from box 3. He began well and saw out the distance first go. He looks to have a lot of improvement in him and may be the winner in this. His trainer Ben McCauley is going great guns and the pair look set to continue that here. From the red he should have no problems leading or holding a forward position. Expect him to be near the lead around the first turn and be too good here.
Hobart Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 4 Franklin Bluboy 9.25 pm Vic time
This blokes had nearly a month off, but he was racing fabulous before the short break. As is typical with El Galo progeny he has been getting stronger as he gets older. He has great early toe and being fresh, should see him lead early here. With ordinary beginners all around this bloke is a huge chance of leading all the way. Each way at good odds I reckon.
Sandown Greyhounds Race 9 Box 2 Born on Lava 9.55 pm. Vic time
This girl looks a super bet here in race 9 tonight. She has a huge motor and I think we are going to see it here tonight. A couple of starts back she ran 30.02 at the Meadows and showed no signs of stopping. The longer trip here will suit her perfectly. She has good early toe and as long as she doesn’t get lost around the first turn I expect here to win this. Tweed Bah Day looks a threat and he can’t be dismissed. He too has a huge motor and with luck he will threaten. Expect to see more of this bitch as she continues to race over the longer trip. Born on Lava to romp in here. Best Bet
Best of luck
