Greyhound Betting Tips Wednesday 30th April

Five heats of the tonight. A few south Queensland trainers are making the journey up. has two runners, with Jetta's Girl and Exhibitionist engaged. Steve and Deborah Arnold have runners, has a hope, Peter O'Reilly has Yogi Blue, along with the all conquering Elson kennel. Each heat looks to contain a good thing or two so it's worth having a go at tonight.

Rockhampton Greyhounds Race 2 Box 5 Cosmic Waters, 8.15pm

I'm going to go with the local hope Cosmic Waters in heat two of the cup. The daughter of and Navel Juice has a scorching PB here of 29.35 and from fourteen starts she's won nine with three placings. She really excels here at her home track and the rest of the field will need to bring there “A Game” to defeat her. She's really well suited to box two and as long as she doesn't get buried at the start, I expect her to give this a almighty shake.

The topline chasers Swift Opulence and Thunder Rocks will prove hard to roll, but both are having their first attempt here at the circuit. Thunder Rocks probably won't be suited as he's a slow beginner, but Swift Opulence generally pings and goes and if she finds the bunny it won't matter too much that she hasn't seen the track. I doubt there will be much support for the talented local so have a solid go at her each way.

Cannington Greyhounds Race 7 Box 6 Regal Patch, 10.33pm

This appears to be a two dog race between box five runner Mr. Shilling and box six runner Regal Patch and I'm going to go with the latter. There's no doubt Mr. shilling has great ability and his mum, , was a fine stayer for owner , but I'm not convinced he'll run out the trip very strongly at his first attempt. He's bred to stay and while his form so far is fantastic, the first litter out of Red Shilling struggled to get the 500 metre trip.

Regal Patch on the other hand is proven over the trip and has been racing really well. She's a beginner and she should stay in touch early on and then test the young dog late in the race. Mr. Shilling will start favourite, so hopefully odds of $4.00 will be about for Regal Patch.

Bulli Greyhounds Race 5 Box 7 Garrdice, 8.25pm

Two dog race again in my opinion. There's no doubt at all the flying Silent Effective has a V12 engine. He has run some scorching times and is still on the improve, but he's a slow beginner and slow beginners get beat often over the short trips. There's no substitute for sheer early speed, demonstrated recently by , Paw Licking and Black Magic Opal. All three weren't or aren't very strong, but they have won plenty. Their explosive speed has seen them consistently beat faster dogs.

Garrdice in box seven is nowhere near that league, but he should ping and be first on the tonight, and I reckon he might be big overs. He'll need to go quicker then his 26.44pb, but he's young too and on the improve. Bulli suits Silent Effective perfectly, it's a big track that suits the strong powerful runners and If he gets a crack at any point in the race barring the final 40 metres, he'll just win.

But I'm prepared to back Garrdice at the right price, as more often than not the speed dog salutes. As long as $5.00 is about I'll be loading up. Punters could also try taking the exacta, box it up for $2.00 for 100%
