Orange Boy has been racing with limited luck in recent times and from his favourable wide draw he should return to the winners list. He has been placed in six of his past seven starts in strong company and this is the best draw he has had for a while, his PB of 25.97 here is only fair but at his best he is capable of going sub 25.70. Leica Comet looms as the likely danger, she is poorly drawn but she does have a great turn of foot and with some luck initially she should be able to drive through and vie for the early lead. Chinchero is ideally drawn out wide and if he can getaway cleanly he should be able to make an impact. His 26.42 win was more than handy and he should be afforded a clear run in the early stages today.

Renatus is a highly promising speedster and he looks perfectly placed in the pink draw. Four starts ago he scored from this draw at in a slick 30.24 and with two keen railers drawn underneath he should get a perfect cart across in the early stages. In some of his previous efforts he has gone sub 5.60 to the first marker at Albion Park, so he should have more than enough speed to lead. High Radar was a smart 30.79 winner here earlier this month and if he can step cleanly he should make Renatus work hard for victory, whilst Solo Miss loves racing over this track and trip and she is normally a very reliable beginner.

Top Four: 8 – 2 – 3 – 6

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Renatus

Trifecta: 8/2,3,6/1,2,3,6 ($9 for 100%)

Exacta: 8/2,3,6 ($3 for 100%)

Quinella: 8 to rove with 2,3,6 ($3 for 100%)

Best Value:
Race 8: Grin And Win (very stiff last week and may go around over the odds)
