Rockhampton greyhound tips & value bets | Tuesday, June 28
This week, the usual Wednesday night meeting at Rockhampton has been replaced with a rare Tuesday night meeting. We have a huge 12 race program to sort through. Let us warm up your night with some good bets along with our quaddie selections.
BEST BET: Francis Geoffrey (Race 9)
The Dallas Beckett-trained Fracnis Geoffrey (box 8) looks the best bet on the program. Tonight, this son of Superior Panama steps up to the 510m distance. He finishes off his races well over the 407m distance so the extra distance should not worry him. He is currently in good form, winning his last two starts in fast times. He is well suited to this wide draw, having won three from four start out of box eight and placed in the other start. Francis Geoffrey should zoom straight to the lead and win but we will need to take short odds.

NEXT BEST: Friend Lee's Boy (Race 10)
The Ken Boody-trained Friend Lee's Boy (box 6) looks the next best bet on the program. This son of Black Bear Lee has struck a suitable 5th grade race over the 510m distance. Box six is normally a tricky draw but not tonight. He should get a clear run early with a vacant box drawn inside of him and two slow beginners drawn outside. In his last two starts, he has contested in stronger fields and finished behind Barely Friendly and Velocity Tamika. Those two mentioned greyhounds would win this race. On paper, this is not a strong race. Expect him to be contesting the early lead and be powering on to win.

BEST VALUE BET: Tralee Tristan (Race 4)
The Andrew Suli-trained Tralee Tristan (box 6) is our value bet again. We made this greyhound our value bet last Wednesday night but did not collect after he was again luckless. This son of Dyna Villa has been luckless on all three starts over this track and distance. Last start, he began better but was cut off when attempting to rail inside of another greyhound. Tonight, he could get a good cart across outside the favourite Spot On Ginger (box 4) and try and match motors with her down the back straight. He looks a good each way bet and one to couple up with Spot On Ginger in all exotic betting.
