Rockhampton betting tips

plays host to a standard 10-race program this Wednesday night, featuring the usual mix of different class races. Let us warm up your night with some good bets along with our quaddie selections.

BEST BET: Spot On Albert (Race 5)

The -trained (box 7) looks the best bet on the program. This daughter of is from the successful Ellie Grace litter. All of her six career starts have been over this track and distance, resulting in three wins and three second placings. In her last two starts, she has finished second behind the promising , clocking good times. She can show good early speed to offset her wide draw and there is no Unify in this race. She is the fastest greyhound in this race and looks the winner, but we may need to take short odds.

Best Bet

Race 5 – SilkSpot On Albert (7)

Form: 121122 | Career: 6: 3-3-0 | Trainer: Trent Thorley

$1.50 with Neds

NEXT BEST: Spot On Harper (Race 4)

The Trent Thorley-trained (box 5) looks the next best bet on the program. Thorley could have a successful night with the ‘Spot On'-named greyhounds, with five potential winners from seven littermates entered. That could be a Rockhampton record and a huge night for the kennel. Last start, Spot On Harper was luckless when she finished second behind Why Harmony, beaten 2.5 lengths from box five but clocking 23.86 seconds. If she replicates that run, she will be winning this race. Expect her to be contesting the early lead and be hard to beat.

Next Best

Race 2 – SilkSpot On Harper (5)

Form: 312132 | Career: 6: 2-2-2 | Trainer: Trent Thorley

$1.60 with Betfair

BEST VALUE BET: Tralee Tristan (Race 9)

We will need to be patient and wait until race nine for our value bet. Hopefully, we are cashed up after backing a winner or two earlier in the night. The -trained Tristan (box 3) has been luckless in both runs at the Rockhampton circuit. On June 8, he made his Rockhampton debut and finished third behind Double Expresso from box three. On June 15, he finished fifth behind Why Harmony from box four, clocking 24.33 seconds. This son of is not a quick beginner and will need luck rounding the first turn but has a good low draw. Should be good each-way odds and must be included in all exotic betting.

Best Value

Race 9 – Silk (3)

Form: 264354 | Career: 35: 2-4-3 | Trainer: Andrew Suli

$8.50 with Palmerbet

Investment: $12 for 100%
