Leg 1 – Wentworth Park – Race 8: Nangar Flame To Place $1.62
Nangar Flame is blessed with a ridiculous amount of talent and from the red draw tonight there should be no excuses for him. Last week he came out of the pink draw and he was posted wide for the entire trip, however he still hit the line very well and he was far from disgraced when finishing second. He is currently $3.80 to win and it is worth snapping that up separate to the multi. For multi purposes I have chosen the place option because from the red I can't see him missing the top three.
Leg 2 – Wentworth Park – Race 10: Elite Arena To Place $2.10
Elite Arena is much better than her form reads and from the inside draw she should get every chance to finish in the money. Her most recent form isn't great but she has shown improvement in her two most recent efforts at Bathurst when finishing third on both occasions. I'm expecting the one, two and five to lead for most of the trip and that should allow her to drop in behind for a nice sit, she is extremely strong in the run home and with a clear passage mid race she should be right there at the end.
Leg 3 – Ipswich – Race 7: Shanae's Magic To place $3
Shanae's Magic is probably better suited to a shorter trip but her record here over this journey isn't too bad and with a clean getaway she should have the speed to lead this event. Last time out she actually hit the line well when placed in good time and with a wide runner on her outside and a slow beginner on her inside tonight, she should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first bend. She might get reeled in late but at $3 for the place she appears to be great value.
