Leg 1 – Warragul – Race 10: Rumbling Rick To Win $2
Rumbling Rick hasn't won for a little while but he has been a little unlucky in his recent efforts and he is drawn to figure prominently tonight. He normally steps well but in recent weeks he has been out sped in the early stages, but there isn't a whole lot of speed in this event so he should be able to hold the early lead if he can get out well. This is the easiest race he has contested for quite a while and the even money with Bet365 looks a safe bet.
Leg 2 – Horsham – Race 7: Mi Diablo To Place $1.80
Mi Diablo doesn't win on many occasions but he has been placed in six of eight over this track and trip and most of those efforts have been in very strong company. He can be a little hit or miss early but he has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in his races and he can run time. The red is a star in the making, so he will have his work cut out trying to beat him, but with an ounce of luck he should be able to fill the quinella spot.
Leg 3 – Ipswich – Race 7: Yalinga To Place $1.50
Yalinga has been racing in consistent fashion of late and he looks well placed in the wider draw. Two starts back he overcame a couple of minor difficulties in running to score here in 30.85 and I think with a clear passage tonight he should be able to get down to around the 30.70 mark. He has the speed to cross and lead and he tends to hit the line quite solidly. He is a nice bet at the $4 mark to win but I think the place option is much safer.
