Allen Jens has an explosive turn of foot and he recently returned to form with a commanding 25.62 Ballarat win. He normally takes a couple of strides to get going but he has a fast beginner and keen railer drawn directly underneath so that should allow him to get enough room to muster pace. If he can assume control as they head through the first bend he will prove very hard to reel in.
Dyna Lemmy is an exciting prospect and he is going to be a major player in better races than this in the future. Tonight he is having his first look at the track and he is going to need some luck as they negotiate the first turn. All Inn Ky roared home in his top 25.67 Shepparton win and he is a winning chance if he can settle in the top three. War Room comes here with very strong NSW form but he is going to need a lot of luck to be able to cross from the pink draw.
Top Four: 5 – 2 – 3 – 8

Great Spartacus has been racing in much stronger company of late and he should make light work of these. In July he scored two brilliant Sandown wins over a similar trip and on both occasions he settled in the top two and he hit the line strongly. He is likely to start very short odds but he does look to be a moral.
Sign Of Snow beat two quality line-ups in his recent back to back Geelong wins and a repeat of those efforts would see him be a major player here. He is normally very quick to begin and after a flat spot mid race he will come again in the home straight. Rebelation showed signs of his best form two runs back when placed in good company and I would expect him to settle in the top three early.
Top Four: 2 – 4 – 3 – 1

Reckless Brown is a faultless beginner and I expect him to carve up the field in the early stages. Last week he settled in second spot and he kept coming as they hit the line and he went down by a narrow margin. This race doesn’t feature a lot of early speed and so therefore with a cheap lead he should prove too strong for these.
Dyna Fancy is the only other runner with genuine early speed and she should get a nice sit behind Reckless Brown initially. I don’t think she can reel the leader in but she can definitely hold on for the quinella spot. Trail Blazing and Coconut Grove are going to be the two most fancied runners in the event, both have loads of talent but they require a heap of luck in running. Trail Blazing is the better chance of those two for mine, he has a good record here and he has a bit more natural early speed than Coconut Grove.
Top Four: 8 – 5 – 3 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bets on Reckless Brown and Dyna Fancy (more on Reckless Brown)

Sisco Rage has been a tad disappointing of late but I’m willing to give him one more chance. Tonight he steps up to the more favourable 600m journey and he should be able to settle a lot closer to the early lead. He has slow beginners drawn all around him and he should sit outside Mepunga Fearon for most of the trip before putting pay to him as they turn for home.
Mepunga Fearon as stated previously should punch through and lead for most of the trip, I’m not convinced that he can run a strong 600m but he should be able to hold on for a place. Dyna Orion has experienced no luck in his four tries over this journey, however I believe that this is his ideal journey and with some luck initially he can make an impact. Oscar Keeping could be the smokey, he has some fast wins to his credit over 500m and he could be worth a saver bet if he goes around at silly odds.
Top Four: 6 – 1 – 4 – 3

Quality final and it appears that Ruff Cut Diamond is poised to atone for her luckless heat effort last week. I’m anticipating that Lady Goldenpaw will have enough speed to hold them out early and that should allow Ruff Cut Diamond to get a great run through as they head through the bend, Sweet Diva who is drawn on her outer also likes to use a bit of the track so she will have everything in her favour. Two starts ago she set the track alight at Sandown with a 29.26 win and a repeat of that effort would see her go sub 29.80 here.
Dyna Alchemist finally delivered the goods last week and he should play a major role again. He is likely to settle just off the speed and he should make his move off the back straight. Mepunga Moss is another lid pinger and she must be included in your quaddies, if she happens to cross early she may just steal the prize.
Top Four: 2 – 1 – 4 – 5
Suggested Bets:
Win bets on Ruff Cut Diamond and Lady Goldenpaw

Echelonic Action has been far from disgraced in his two recent runs behind Champion stayer Xylia Allen and he will get his chance to score tonight. He has shown a lot more early dash in his most recent racing and he has appeared to hit the line in a much stronger manner. If he can step cleanly again he should be able to lead all the way at nice odds.
Zipping Rory blew away a quality line-up in his recent 41.67 Sandown Park win and he is the obvious danger. I would expect him to start short odds but he can miss the kick at times and if he does he will need to get a lot of luck in running. Funky Chicken is having his second try over this trip and he may be great value for the place, his recent efforts have suggested that this trip will suit.
Top Four: 8 – 7 – 5 – 4

See Him First has come up with the gun draw and he should get every chance to lead all the way. Three starts ago he returned to form with a strong 29.72 Sandown Park win and he is better suited to this journey. There isn’t a lot of speed drawn directly outside and he should get all the favours.
Oakvale Destiny is making her middle distance debut and her racing pattern suggests that she will have no trouble with the extra journey. She is a Group One winner over the sprint trip and if she gets an ounce of luck at the first turn she should be in the finish. Dyna Glinda has loads of talent and she too is another who looks suited to this journey. The middle pin isn’t too bad a draw on the bend starts and she should be able to get out into some open space as they past the post the first time.
Top Four: 1 – 6 – 2 – 4

Mepunga Armagh is a gun sprinter and he will prove extremely hard to hold out based on his blistering 29.86 win here recently from this draw. He is a faultless beginner and with a couple of keen railers drawn underneath, he should get the perfect cart across as they approach the first turn. There are a couple of handy ones in this event so you might get $2.80 or better.
Samus Allen has won five of seven over this trip and she appears to be getting even better. Two starts ago she destroyed Mepunga Hayley at Cranbourne and she recorded a very quick first section. Whodat Knockin’ has really turned the corner since joining the Thompson kennel and he only needs a bit of luck in running to make an impact. Campaspe Will is the most talented runner in the event but from the awkward draw he will need a lot to go right. If he happens to come out cleanly he will be right in the mix.
Top Four: 8 – 5 – 4 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Trifecta: 8/4,5,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Very open race and I think we can find some value with Silver Brodie, last week he had to work overtime in the run and he still managed to find the line strongly. He has the ability to ping the lids and I can easily see him crossing and leading this field. On the bunny he is a very fast chaser and at double figure odds he will give a great sight.
Dewana Babe is a star stayer in the making and she has the ability to overcome the poor draw, she has been beginning a lot better of late and she may be able to settle just off the speed early. Julie Bale has turned in some monster efforts of late and she is drawn to be a major player again. She can bomb the start at times but from the red draw she should be able to hold a prominent spot as they negotiate the first turn. Alotta Luck was far from disgraced behind Julie Bale last week and she has the ability to cause a boil over.
Top Four: 4 – 6 – 1 – 3
Suggested Bets:
Each Way Silver Brodie

Great line-up and I think Nockabout Aussie will get his chance to lead all the way and he may just give the 34 second barrier a nudge. He is one seriously fast chaser when on the bunny and from the red he may just get away a lot better than normal. There is a little bit of pace drawn on his outer but with an even getaway he should have enough natural speed to burn them off.
Tick Bale is much better than his recent form suggests and he is always a chance in this type of company. In recent times he has been racing in much stronger company and he should be able to regain some confidence. Mepunga Tiara is dropping back in distance and if she gains some luck in running she should be able to run home into a placing. Starc is well drawn out wide and stepping back up to a more suitable trip, he is must for your exotic bets.
Top Four: 1 – 4 – 7 – 8

My Kinda Music got knocked over just as she crossing to the lead last week and she should be able to make amends tonight. Fort Allen is the only runner which can match her early and she should have no trouble holding him out. She will have derived a lot of benefit from her run here last week and with a trouble free run she should easily be able to break the 30 second barrier.
Searle Bale appears to be struggling for form at present but she does have the ability to ping the lids when drawn out wide. If she is crazy odds it may be worth having something small on her each way. Fort Allen has a top record here and he should match motors with the favourite for most of the trip. His last 50m is always a concern but he should be able to hold on for a place. Flying Twist is back in form and she can run a big race at odds.
Top Four: 4 – 8 – 7 – 3

Trifecta: 4/3,7,8/3,7,8 ($6 for 100%)

Quinella: 4 to rove with 3,7,8 ($3 for 100%)
Race 12 – 600M Grade 5 Heat Five – 11:00PM
Very intriguing race to wind up the night and it appears to be a battle between Dyna Perseus, Especially and Dream It. Dyna Perseus is one of the most gifted chasers in training and if he can step cleanly and lead he will run the hands off the clock. He can be very hit or miss early but with slow beginners drawn either side he should get every chance to find the early lead.
Dream It recorded a sizzling 34.17 Sandown Park win last month and he should get a nice cart across from the speedy Especially. There is no doubting his talent and he has scored some blistering wins here over the 525m journey, the only concern is that he may find it hard to avoid trouble from a wide draw on a bend start. Especially will settle on the speed and she has been racing well at Sandown over a similar journey.
