Wentworth Park Saturday greyhound racing tips – December 9, 2023
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Wentworth Park this Saturday night. The heats of the annual Group 3 Christmas Gift headline a 10-race card that kicks off at 6:22pm local time. As always, Australian Racing Greyhound will try to find you a winner or two.
Race 1: Mr Yellowstone (6)
This boy is brilliant one night but average the next, and if the real Mr Yellowstone shows up, this race will be at his mercy. He has won nine of 16 starts, some of them in near-record times. He scorched around Maitland two starts back in 22.1 and has a personal best here of 29.6, which is top class. The vacant box under him will help, as he can do a few things wrong in his races. He just needs a touch of luck to salute again here at headquarters.

Race 6: Eyes To Eyes (3)
Eyes To Eyes has won three in a row, all in best-of-night times. He steps up to Group 3 level in this race, but if he runs anything like he has recently, only Nangar Larry could possibly go with him. He has 26 starts for 11 wins and nine placings and has five wins on the track. He has a slow beginner under him, which will help his cause early, and if he can just hold Nangar Larry and Embrace out to the first turn, Eyes To Eyes will progress to next week's final as a hot favourite.

This boy has some outstanding form over the sprint journey up north of late, beating some of the best dashers going around. He has only missed a place in 10 of his 44 starts, with 20 wins along the way. Stepping up to 520m, if Johnny Red can begin like he does in the sprints, he might just lead the other speedsters. That could create havoc behind him and allow him to get away in front at very nice odds indeed.
