Wentworth Park Saturday greyhound tips | February 24, 2024
Wentworth Park will host 11 races this Saturday night. It's great to see the stayers tuning up for the Easter carnival along with some battlers, the masters, and a quality non-graded race with an Easter Egg candidate or two going around. Australian Racing Greyhound will be trackside and will try steer you towards a winner or two.
Race 4: Fear The Dragon (1)
This boy has had 10 career starts for six wins and three placings, including four starts here for a first, a second, a third and a fifth. He loves box, with two wins and a second from three goes. He can be a slow beginner at times, but there is no genuine pace in this race, so box one should help him drive along the fence and find a prominent position. His run times are superb, and if he doesn't find trouble, he will be running away from them late for a big win.

Race 5: Sin Rap Explode (4)
Sin Rap Explode opened his Wentworth Park account in style last week, leading all the way and running a handy 42.20. His sectionals were also good, indicating bigger things ahead. He is the Richmond 722m track-record holder and will have gained valuable experience from his first look at the tight Glebe circuit. He is not well drawn in box four but has a vacant box alongside of him, which may prove invaluable. With no pace in the race other than the eight dog, Sin Rap Explode just needs to begin well and find the fence first to be in it.

Race 9: Benji's Button (1)
In a race where there is only one win from 58 starts combined, Benji's Button may start well over the odds. His record here is poor, with no wins from 13 goes and only a couple of placings. However, you need to look at his record from inside boxes, and we know that all dogs trained by John Smart grow a fifth leg when they draw the inside box. The last time he drew close to the fence he was a good second here to kennelmate Snowman. If he can get an ounce of luck off the inside draw, he will be an each-way special.
