Bundaberg greyhound races cancelled due to lure system issues
The greyhound race meeting scheduled for Boxing Day, Tuesday, December 26, at the Bundaberg greyhound track has been cancelled due to issues with the lure system.
Despite efforts from the Bundaberg Greyhound Racing Club and Racing Queensland (RQ) to address these problems, there is more work required to rectify the problem.
This further work will be done in the upcoming week.
However, it is expected that the race meeting on New Year's Day, Monday, January 1, 2024, will proceed as planned.
The unfortunate abandonment of a Bundaberg greyhound meeting comes less than a week after the club and RQ announced the grass track would be ripped up to turn the surface to a sand track.
