Cobblepot, Bat Sign give Rolph clan Albion Park double
Cobblepot served up another huge finish to take out the fifth-grade final over the 395m at Albion Park on Wednesday night.
Last week, starting as a $1.22 favourite in the heats, he got out from box seven to lead and win in a sizzling 22.35 as the fastest qualifier.
At box rise in the final, greyhound betting sites had the Stephen Rolph-trained chaser as the one to beat at $1.50.
With the jump, he would get away to sit second on the turn behind Shian Pixie before he passed her and ran on to win by 5.25 lengths.
He clocked 22.51 in the process, beating out Kingsbrae Wendy ($5.50) and Shian Pixie ($41) in third.

Trainer and owner Rolph was pleased with the performance.
“Very happy with the way he is going at the moment,” he said.
“I am tossing up whether to have another crack at 520m with Cobblepot next Thursday.
“Or next Saturday at Ipswich over 431m.”
It was the 46th start for the Zambora Brockie x Shilo dog, who has 16 wins and 18 placings in his career while banking $62,550 in prize money.
The Rolph family took a race-to-race double with Stephen's father, Hassell, training the full brother to Cobblepot to victory in the race prior.
Bat Sign ($2.15) returned to the winner's circle with the win over the 520m journey in 29.73 as he slashed his best time at the track and trip.
He won by 6.25 lengths, beating home Spot on Lads ($16) and She's Got Moves ($41).

“It was a great win,” Stephen Rolph said.
“He's at dad's place but it's a team effort with training et cetera.”
The Gotham City-related names have helped build a cult following for both kennelmates as they continue to attract eyeballs.
“If you look in between Bat Sign's front legs, you can see the Batman symbol,” Rolph said.
“Cobblepot is shorter and chunky, just like Oswald Cobblepot (the real identity of the villain Penguin).”
From 21 career starts the Zambora Brockie x Shilo dog has won eight times with six placings, earning $28,970 for connections.
