Trainer Brown was impressed with the win and the improvement that Dancer On Fire – also known as ‘Olive' – shows in each run.

“I think Olive did really well tonight,” he said on Sunday.

“She got the start right and got the room to take control early.”

The victory showed progression, after she placed second behind Queen Lina last start in her first look at the trip.

“She's done everything right since she's been here,” Brown said.

“Even her second was to a classy dog which placed in the Chief Minister's final tonight.”

The first three starts for Dancer On Fire's career were over the shorter 312m, setting the platform with three straight wins.

Brown said she would be back at the races sooner than later.

“She will be on a quick backup to Wednesday,” he said.

“Just to try and get another fifth-grade in before she turns two because she'll lose her juvenile status.

“After that we will look for a week or two off and then back to take her through the grades, eventuating in getting her over 500m.

“She is a classy bitch who was bred by , and he did say she had a bit of talent.

“He wasn't wrong.”
