Dancing Lights Eyes The Double
Dancing Lights will need to make full use of her explosive early speed to capture the $10,000 MTD Young Star Classic final, 450m, at Ballarat greyhound races tomorrow night.
Dancing Lights has drawn box six for the second leg of the TriStar Series.
Having already taken out the Bendigo Young Star Classic, Dancing Lights will earn a $10,000 bonus if successful at Morshead Park and also stay in the running for the $20,000 bonus being offered if one dog completes the TriStar triple crown.
Prepared by Alisdair Armstrong at Huntly, Dancing Lights won her heat in 25.28 seconds on Wednesday night.
She will be the widest of the six heat winners, with fastest qualifier Invisiting Me landing the coveted red on the rails.
Invisiting Me has only seen the inside box once in his 10 starts and scored at Sandown.
The son of Where’s Pedro is one of three runners unbeaten on this circuit, having saluted at his past two outings.
Allegro Jay Jay took out a heat at his first look at the track, while Dancing Lights is another to have landed the money twice in the past few weeks.
The final is race eight on the Ballarat program and will be run at 9.12pm.
