Digital Sea returns to Albion Park in fine fashion
Digital Sea won in her return to Albion Park over the 520m trip on Thursday.
In her first start back from injury, she was sent out as a $2.50 race favourite with greyhound betting sites.
On box rise, the Jemma Daley-trained bitch sped out to hit the front and ran on to extend her lead.
The run was a battle with challenges served up from Let's Go Daisy ($11) and Tagovailoa ($13).
But Digital Sea held on to win by a half length, edging out Tagovailoa and Sirius Sandy ($9.50) in a time of 30.23.
Owner Kyle Juracic was happy with the performance, which included a 5.48 first sectional.
“Very honest run,” he said.
“She is first race back from a little injury so didn't expect anything crazy from her.
“But her first sectionals really put her in the race.”
Digital Sea is a consistent performer who ran second behind Magistrate in the Group 3 Ipswich Auction Series Final this year.
The Barcia Bale x Ricolina Girl chaser has three wins and nine placings from 17 starts and has banked $33,940 in prize money.
