Even Field Should Find Value In Race Four At Albion Park Tonight

Experience, southern form and lucky go head to head this Thursday night at when several proven performers line up in Race Four.

The fourth grade 520m race, sponsored by Brandons Electrical, will feature last week’s beaten favourite Rattle And Hum (box one), take on returning Brisbane greyhounds, Whirly Storm (box three) and (box eight), and recent Albion Park winners Inflammable (box five) and Sideways (box seven).

Rattle And Hum just couldn’t regain lost ground after an awkward jump from box one last week, and will be looking to make amends from the same alley this week.

Whirly Storm returns to Albion Park after a short stint in Newcastle, where she raced well to pick up one win and a second placing in three starts.

Beverley Dobono’s Maxie also makes a come back to the Creek after two fourth placings against the likes of Lilley Criminal at Wentworth Park in November last year. While Maxie is a stayer, it will be a good freshen up for the Bombastic Shiraz bitch.

Inflammable won impressively last week having clocked in at 30.17 from box eight, a career-best time. Sideways is also sure to compete in this race, having shown potential in recent starts against quick company.

The race will be one of several competitive fields this Thursday night, with the following Best Eight Give Me Five at Stud 520m a local derby of improving contenders.

Sangio King should be the one to beat in this race from box seven, having placed in all starts since coming back from a spell on New Years Day to clock in at a sharp 30 seconds.

The Sandra King-trained performer should cross before the first turn with proven early speed and with the help of fellow quick-starter Eskimo Dancer on his direct inside.

Eskimo Dancer, who is trained by , has placed consistently since up in class, and the experience of recent Best Eight races should play to his advantage.

A threat in the race may come from the far outside also, with ‘s Sleek and Smart boasting a best time of 30.08 last month.

Middle-distance racing will feature strongly on the card also, including the fifth grade 600m (Race 10).

Standout contender in this will be from box eight, which is one of the best boxes to draw from this start at Albion Park.

A threat in this race will come from box six, , with a race resume featuring a best time of 35.02 and having had recent sprint starts, the Black Enforcer dog should be fresh.

Another competitive greyhound to keep an eye on in Brisbane on Thursday night will be in race two in box six Royston Renegade.

The -trained performer has been unlucky in his last three starts and has the proven ability with a late-January best time of 30.05.
