GRSA advises Port Augusta is cancelled this Saturday
PORT Augusta's Saturday non-TAB meet has been cancelled after the weather bureau predicted four-straight days of 40 degree temperatures in the region.
In the interests of safety to all participants, Greyhound Racing South Australia (GRSA) has decided to call the meeting off.
A statement released by the GRSA read: “The Port Augusta Non TAB meeting scheduled for Saturday 29th December has been cancelled due extreme weather forecast in this region later in the week. With above 40 degrees for 4 days in a row forecast the meeting cannot go ahead.”
There are no plans to reschedule the December 29 card.
