Throughout the 2023 season, Jay Is Jay demonstrated his talent with 15 wins out of 26 races.

CEO praised Jay Is Jay's accomplishments, particularly highlighting his thrilling win, in the Million Dollar Chase.

Scott also pointed out the success of greyhound racing in Queensland, highlighting the achievements of the Queensland Winter Greyhound Racing Carnival and the Golden Greys Summer Racing Carnival.

The awards ceremony at Victoria Park celebrated a total of 26 individuals and organisations in greyhound racing throughout the state.

Jay Is Jay and the Zammit Jones family were also honoured with the Top Simbi award recognising their contributions to the industry.

Among winners were Magistrates trainer Greg Stella, who was presented with the Darryl & Maree Heck Brisbane Trainers Strike Rate Award and Raymond Burmans Blue Hornet, named Brisbane Greyhound of the Year.

Cyndie Elson secured her Brisbane Trainer of the Year Award while Les Bein, President of for many years received recognition with an Outstanding Contribution Award.

Hayley Wooler, a 22 year trainer received accolades with the Young Achiever Award for her season which saw 64 wins and 164 placings from 624 starts.

Her accomplishments include a victory with Chinotto Girl, in the Robert Olsen Memorial race.

Cynthia Suttle was honored for her achievements, in Queensland horse racing, which have spanned than five decades.

She received the Woman in Racing Award as a testament to her dedication and impact, on the sport.
