Lord’s triple treat in Group 3 Summer Six-Hundy Final at Gosford

With four runners engaged in last night's inaugural running of the G3 Summer Six-Hundy final at , it was hard to see any other runner claiming the prize, given their outstanding run of form, however punters sent out Lochinvar Lona from box seven as the $4.00 favourite, in a fairly evenly spread market.

At box rise, there was plenty of jostling for the front, with Coast Model stepping cleanly from box four to take up the early lead, with kennel-mate Grim Madara crossing from outside to take up running in second position. Lochinvar Lona sat in third, with eventual winner Punter's Bandit a significant distance from the leader. Entering the home straight, there was a four-way go for victory, with the recent G2 Gosford Cup winner storming down the outside in the home straight to score by three quarters of a length over Grima Madara, with Coast Model just another quarter of a length away in third.
