Mountain Of Love Firms As Challenge Favourite
Mountain of Love has firmed as favourite for Saturday nights GRNSW Country Challenge Showdown after the box draw this morning, drawing box two and inside most of the other fancied
chances.
Veteran series winner Token Mulwee has drawn box five and will find it tough against some of the younger competitors including Varvatos (4), Bim Bam Boom (8) and Montana Belle (3).
The John Lawson trained Future Fund and Our Elite Belle have secured boxes one and seven respectively and he believes that it gives them a good shot at race favourite Mountain of Love.
“The Country Challenge is a great series and the points score is a good concept that allows everyone a chance to make races such as the Showdown and I look forward to being there on Saturday night, “ Mr Lawson said.
$10,000 is on offer for the winner of the Showdown with second place receiving $3,000, third $2,000 and all unplaced greyhounds will receive $1,000.
