Princess Penny impresses with Bundaberg Oaks Final win
Princess Penny backed up after her heat win last week to salute in the Bundaberg Oaks Final on Monday afternoon.
The Paul McIlveen-trained chaser lined up in the 531m contest for bitches as a +210 chance with top greyhound betting sites.
In the open final, she got out well from box two to hit the front with Shanti (+750) before pushing to take the lead.
From there, Princess Penny was never headed, holding on to win by four lengths over Tarawi Lola (+1400) and Miss Slim (+200) in 30.02.

The winning time slashed down her previous best of 30.50, which she ran in her heat on her first look at the Bundaberg 531m.
“It was great to see her draw near the rails,” trainer McIlveen said.
“The run over the 531m last week showed she was getting back to her best.
“She really improved today and won well and the time was respectable.
“Hopefully she will keep on improving and get back to the form she was in prior to coming into season a few months ago.”
Last time out, on September 11, Princess Penny jumped from the eight box and used her speed out wide to lead all the way and beat home Alpha Humbug and Tarawi Lola in the Bundaberg Oaks heats.
Before her two Oaks runs, Princess Penny last saluted on February 7, when she won over the Ipswich 520m while beating Future’s Changed and Don’t Tell Helen by seven and a half lengths.
The My Redeemer x Call Me Roxanne bitch has 10 wins and 14 placings from 37 starts and has banked $36,150 in prize money with her win in the $7,700 Oaks.
