Queen Lauryn Retired And Will Go To Where’s Pedro

Star Queensland bitch and six time holder Queen Lauryn has run her last race and will be put in pup to 's sire Where's Pedro.

The black bitch was being set for a tilt at the upcoming Cup series but has again come “on season” interrupting her racing career.

The dual winning bitch retires with the Group 1 Sapphire Crown Classic at over 515m and the Group 1 Brisbane (BGRC) Gold Cup over 710m at Albion Park to her credit.

Amongst her five group wins also were the 2008 Group 2 , 2009 Cup and 2009 Group 2 All Stars Sprint.

She has also made group finals of the 2007 Group 1 Vic Peters Memorial Classic (scratched), 2008 Group 2 Ladies Bracelet (2nd), 2008 Group 1 Winter Carnival Cup (3rd), 2008 Group 1 (6th), 2008 Group 3 Sandown Shootout (2nd) and 2009 Group 1 Temlee (3rd).

Just recently the trained greyhound set new figures for the Lismore 635m track record and looked on target for the middle distances of the Sale Cup starting next week.

Unfortunately for connections, particularly the new part owners, the Henderson brothers, Queen Lauryn has come on season for a fourth time and connections have decided that the rising four year old should be retired and bred with. Queen Lauryn won just the one race for new part owners David, Luke and Andrew Henderson.

Queen Lauryn retires with 28 wins from 48 starts with a further 11 placings and $277,185 in total career prizemoney.
