Sandown Sunday greyhound races abandoned due to storm damage
Today's Sandown greyhound race meeting has been abandoned due to damage to the track from storms which hit South East Melbourne on Friday.
Sandown Greyhound Racing Club (SGRC) released a short statement on the their Facebook page saying:
Sunday's race meeting has been abandoned due to significant track damage caused by Friday's storms – a deluge of 65mm hit 😳
Our team is working hard with remedial work well underway.
The track is expected to be fully repaired quickly, and Sandown's next meeting on the 3rd February 2022 will go ahead as planned.
