Smart And Classy lives up to his name with Bundaberg win
Smart And Classy ran down Wild Oates while smashing his own personal best time on Monday night at Bundaberg, taking out his third-straight win in the process.
At box rise, the David Plummer-trained dog lined up as a $1.35 favourite with the top greyhound bookmakers.
Wild Oates ($4.80), trained by Lorraine Isles, hit the lead from the initial jump and held it for the majority of the 460m trip.
Into the straight, Smart And Classy stormed over the top of the leader to take the win by four and a quarter lengths.
Raven On Koby ran third after starting at massive $81 odds.

With a previous personal best of 26.22 at the track and trip, the winner slashed that with a speedy 25.97.
On June 26 in his last start, Smart And Classy took out the final of the Bundaberg Grand Prix over 531m, beating home Mount Cambla and Slick Suzie by 1.5 lengths.
The Hooked On Scotch x Vince A Bella chaser holds a 33% win and 62% place rate with seven victories and six placings from 21 starts, along with $25,160 banked in earnings.
Trainer Plummer came away with a winning double from the 10-race card at Bundaberg, with Little Ripper taking out the last race.
Starting at $1.55 with the best greyhound betting sites, the Sh Avatar x Rocket Banquet dog came out of box two in his 85th career start, over the 315m.
From box rise, he ran onto the rail and used it to guide him the entire trip as he won by one and a half lengths, with kennelmate Durham ($4) in second.
With the victory, he made it four consecutive wins in a career that now includes 24 wins, 28 placings and over $60,000 in prize money.
