Spring Rock leads Byers quartet in Past Members Final

Pauline Byers will have four runners in Saturday's Past Members Final at .

Trainer Pauline Byers, who recently notched up her 383th career winner, will have a team of four chasers contest the $6,000 Past Members Final (288m) on Saturday night at Ipswich.

Spring Rock will line up as the top hope for the Byers team, following his win by 4.25 lengths in a best-of-heats time of 16.97 on July 13 as a $2 favourite.

He is the top performer for the kennel, with 39 wins and 45 placings from 127 starts, including a great win in the Final 431m last November.

With nine starts at the trip, he has two wins and two placings, with a victory on Saturday set to push his career earnings past $100,000.

Kennelmate Ringbark Road will jump from the two box, after winning his heat by a length in a time of 17.0.

Before the heat he was not supported, paying $5 with bookmakers, against Bundy Prize ($2.20) and Spring Fern ($2.30), who would finish second and third.

Ringbark Road is the track-and-trip specialist from the Byers four in this final, having run it on 50 occasions for 21 wins and eight placings.

The x Cardwell dog has had 77 career starts for 28 wins and 13 placings while banking $57,670 in prize money for .

Spring Cedar and Spring Rowan are new to the trip with only one start each, both wins in last week's heats.

Spring Cedar won her heat by 1.75 lengths, paying $2.90, in her first look at the 288m after her previous 16 starts over the 431m at Ipswich.

The Fernando Bale x Spring Fair bitch has won nine times with seven placings from 26 career starts.

The final Byers trained-chaser in the final, Spring Rowan, is a consistent chaser with seven wins and 16 placing from his 32 starts.

He joined the Byers kennel in December last year moving from trainer , having raced at the and tracks.

The Fernando Bale x Spring Fair dog debuted at in October last year over the 305m where he finished third.

It would take him three starts to land in the winner's circle at Dubbo over the 318m winning by 3.50 lengths.

Last year's final was won by Borneo Bandit trained by Craig Schmidt who got to the lead soon after box rise and ran on to win by 2.25 lengths, in his final race.
