The Gardens Goes For The Finish On

The NSW National Coursing Association (NSW NCA) have today released a statement saying they are “excited to announce the commencement of a trial of the NZ lure to be conducted at The Gardens”.

The move is likely to be warmly received by local trainers as The Gardens catching pen has come in for planty of crtiticism for pulling the dogs up too quickly and too fast; so any move that might remove the dreaded catching pen from racing could be a progressive one.

On the back of Albion Park's decision to move to fulltime finish-on racing from the 5th January 2009
