Untapped, the 2022 champion, is an undeniable elite quality stayer and she proved it again at The Meadows on Saturday night with a dominant win.

Australia's online greyhound bookmakers had her starting as a -111.11 race favourite, and with box rise she pounced on the lead showing why she deserved support in betting.

At her 66th career start, the Dusty Drew-trained bitch sped out to lead by ten lengths in the run, as she looked to be in a race of her own.

As Untapped ran around the final turn of the 730m journey, she looked to be at her racing best once again; ‘a minute' ahead of the chasing field.

The daughter of and went on to win by 9.09 lengths in a time of 42.79, with Xylan Bale (+900) and Pierre Bale (+900) a distant second and third.

“She was pretty impressive tonight,” trainer Drew said.

“That win will do her confidence the world of good I'd say.”

Her last time out at the track was in a heat of the 2023 Group 1 Queensland Cup, ultimately finishing fifth and missing the final.

Untapped is a 1 winner with the victory in the 2022 edition of the Sandown Cup, beating home and by a length; the highlight of her 66 start career.

She now has 17 wins and 23 placings from her 66 career starts and has banked $339,638 in prize money for connections.

As a proven stayer who can perform from the front in heats to find her way into a final, trainer Drew says that the heats for the Fireball would be the next step for his star.

“They will be next for her next week, but it will all depend on how she pulls up.”

The Fireball is run over 730m and is worth $28,000 to the winner and greyhound betting sites have Untapped already paying +1100 in ‘all in' greyhound odds markets to win the final.
