Bogie Leigh Futurity Heat 1 – La Sagrada’s Late Surge (29.99)

In the opening heat, La Sagrada, trained by Krystal Shinners, showcased her class with a powerful finish to claim victory. Breaking cleanly from Box 1, she trailed early leader Kisses For Gran, who displayed blistering early speed with a 5.59 first section. However, La Sagrada positioned herself perfectly, heading into the back straight and powered through on the inside, turning for home, pulling away to win by two lengths.

Behind her, Kisses For Gran held on for second after a bold front-running effort, while outsider Midnight Queen delivered a strong performance to finish third. The race Neds favourite, Shaula, found trouble early and was unable to recover, finishing fourth.

Bogie Leigh Futurity Heat 2 – Miss Envy Dominates (29.60)

Western Australia’s superstar, Miss Envy, solidified her status as the guaranteed bookmaker favourite for the final with a breathtaking display in the second heat. After an average start, she quickly surged through the pack to take the lead on the first turn, clocking a sharp 5.57 first section.

From there, it was a one-dog show as Miss Envy extended her margin with every stride, crossing the line nearly ten lengths clear of her nearest rival, Prim And Precise.

The class and power of Miss Envy, already proven by her success in the Laurels and Melbourne Cup earlier this year, were on full display as she cruised to victory in 29.60, the fastest time of the night.

Trainer Krystal Shinners now has two runners in the final, with Miss Envy joined by littermate La Sagrada, presenting a formidable challenge for the local contenders.

Bogie Leigh Futurity Heat 3 – Uno Nangar’s Consistency (29.80)

The final heat saw Uno Nangar, trained by John Corrigan, deliver another consistent performance to claim victory in 29.80 seconds. Breaking well from Box 2, Uno Nangar immediately positioned herself alongside early leader Sagai Miss, taking control as they entered the back straight.

From there, Uno Nangar stretched her lead to over four lengths, finishing strongly to secure her place in yet another feature final. Sagai Miss held on for second after a solid effort, while Mossy Boots, a rising star from John McCarthy’s kennel, closed well to claim third.
